Dr. Carole Foster DVM graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1986. She also has her Bachelors of Science degrees in biology and chemistry. For eight years she practiced medicine in Brandon, Florida, both as a general practitioner and an emergency physician. In 1994 she moved back to her native town of Kensington/Garrett Park, Maryland. She has been with MEAC since June of 1995 as a full time emergency medicine practitioner. In 2005 she completed training in veterinary acupuncture and in 2006 Chinese herbal medicine. She practices traditional veterinary Chinese medicine at The Animal Place Veterinary Hospital in Silver Spring part time in addition to her duties at MEAC. She hopes to continue training in alternative medicine including Tui Na (Chinese massage therapy). She finds that combining western medicine with alternative medicine to be rewarding in most of her patients.
